Too close to the home front. I hope the kid pulls through and they find the two scum, I'm about due for jury duty again and would not mind making sure they have a long stay in a nice TDC facility.

unbelievably sad story. I hope the teen pulls through okay and will be able to attend his graduation. A senseless crime and the BGs deserve the book thrown at them or worse.

:iagree:

But only if that "book" is a needle. I have reached the 0 tolerance stage of life for armed intruders. The death of the victim should not be required for this to be a capital offense. My heart and prayers go out to the youngsters and family. My less christian side hopes the BGs get hit by a train and burn :evil2: I am having dificulty with "Love thy enemy" right now.

Man this really makes me mad! :mad5

Just sent an email to the wife to re-iterate: Last one out turns the alarm on. Keep your weapon handy.

Same here. Its a routine for me that before i go to bed, i put my handgun on the night stand and unlock it (its a taurus that has the key that locks the slide). In the morning i lock it back up and go to work. I wish my father would be willing to learn how to use a gun but he does not want to. im always worried that some idiot will attempt to break in during the day when he and my mom are there by themselves and i wont be there to protect them. All i can do is pray that God wont let that happen.

They caught one of the suspects last night and are charging him with murder. If you had not seen any update the kid did not make it.

This type of thing is becoming so widespread it seems predestined to happen to everyone in due time. It did happen around the corner and just down the state highway a couple of weeks ago. Couple came home in the evening and a burglar fired several shots in their direction while fleeing. No one hit, fortunately. This happened not far from where a drug dealer beat a crack ho to death in a middle class semi-rural area in 2009 and left her body in a grassed over field. I could go on and on. No point in it however. You already know the tune. It's time to gun up 100 %.

The Ft. Worth incident was truly tragic, but hardly isolated. Now read this:

He wouldn't have been able to carry, anyway, since a) he was only 17 and b) I heard on the news that he and his sister were going home from school (Gun Free Zone) for lunch that day (I assume his sister just picked him up and wasn't attending his high school).

It truly is tragic and I hope the people who did this get the needle.

We continue to see there is good reason to be armed.

Sadly this does happen. Notes on the perp picked up http://cbs11tv.com/local/Bruce.Terrell. ... 33424.html
Just after 5 p.m. police took Bruce Terrell Rogers into custody. Investigators believe Rogers was involved in the deadly shooting that happened Monday afternoon in the 6400 block of Poco Court. The 24-year-old suspect was taken into custody in Crowley and has a bond of $1 million.

There were two suspects inside the Forrester home when Eric and his 21-year-old sister went there for lunch. The siblings apparently surprised the burglars when they came in. Police are still searching for the second, unnamed, suspect.

As investigators continue their search they are also asking for the public's help with information regarding three laptop computers the suspects took from the Forrester home. The laptops, believed to be Dell, HP and Toshiba respectively, may have been offered for sale on the street.

Some piece of human trash tries to steal a few hundred dollars worth of used electronics and kills a kid to do so. I wonder what it is like to travel through life with no conscious. It almost adds insult to injury that we will get to support the perp in prison for the next however many years. A noose in the town square receiving regular use would correct a lot of ills in our society.

I agree with the frequently used noose or even a stone throwing area. It boils my blood that someone on death row can sit in a cell for years before they are given the needle. If you do such a senseless crime, why does that person deserve to sit in a cell and continue living for years. All those BGs in jail are just a waste of money and do you really think giving the criminals a long sentence will be justice in the eyes of the family who lost a son and brother? The right to live was taken away from the teenager who did nothing to these dirtbags besides coming home to have lunch with his sister.

Good post.
I just e-mailed my mom with the link from the news station.
She just can't wrap her head around why I carry everywhere i go, even in thier home and when out and about with them.
Hopefully this will help shed some light on the subject for her and help open her eyes a bit.
I too hope they throw the BG under the jail, about 6 feet to be exact. I know it'll never happen but sometimes I wish we lived in an "eye for an eye" society.
He took a life and in my opinion has lost the right to finish living his, if even behind bars till death. People like this don't deserve to breath my oxygen.

I share that opinion MedicMan218. And I'm quite confident that many forum members share that belief also. :tiphat:

All of the muderers and killers currently in jail are just a waste of money and are a burden on society. All the money that is spent trying to help them amazes me.
