Federal Health Police

Post by Commander »

Had lunch with a friend of mine today who works for a Federal Law Enforcement agency. He was telling me that the Federal agencies had just received copies of a section of the so called "Health" care legislation passed by Congress. He said the section spells out and defines an armed Federal "Health Corps" complete with search and seizure powers. He said they are still studying the section, but to quote him - "it sure sounds like the 'Brown Shirts' ". This is scary folks.

Seems like there was something floating around back during the Swine Flu scare last fall, that seemed to imply that people could be forced to be immunized. Could this be one of the 'Health Corps" duties? to force compliance with immunization orders? Sounds like something from 1939 Germany.

Second, what does this have to do with guns and gun issues?

Scary folks.

Gonna search file cabinets, safe deposit boxes and your drawers to look and make sure you have a health insurance policy.
If you don't, you'll pay a fine.

Some have expressed concern that CDC or other government agencies might declare guns to be a health hazard and therefore subject to confiscation/control under the provisions of the health care bill.

There is as much verbage about guns in the health care bill as there is about Rice-A-Roni.

Federal law enforcement caries guns. They can even carry them places we can't.

So let's get rid of the health cops. Everyone with good intentions will be happy.

I believe they talk about the fat content of Rice-A-Roni as a health risk on page 1195. :biggrinjester: Seriously, you've read the whole bill??? I've been meaning to but just haven't had time. My hat's off to you. :tiphat:

They are finding a work around for the coming flu season. They are combining the 'regular' vaccine with the swine flu vaccine. If you want one, you'll have to take both.

As part of my licensing, I have to take continuing ed every year. A couple years ago, one seminar I took was given by a guy who is an important consultant to the White House on plans for how to handle a plague. The kind that can wipe out the stability of our nation or planet. Part of what he discussed with a large room full of dentists and hygienists was how even dental health care workers would be utilized for triage and vaccinations because our hospitals would be completely overwhelmed. In that scenario, there would be armed support to force the population to be vaccinated to stop the disease. Every unvaccinated person would be considered a "typhoid Mary" and the right to decline being vaccinated would not be allowed even if there were side effects. There would also be armed support to keep law and order in the early stages when the limited supply of vaccines would go only to those in government and doctors, etc. Most people do not realize our country does not have many facilities to manufacture vaccines. Most are in foreign nations. In the event of a global plague of high mortality, don't count on those nations to make sure we get our vaccines before their citizens do. This has been talked of out of the media spotlight for a long time. The possibility of such an event and the necessity of forcing the population to comply with CDC decisions is real. When the swine flu broke in Mexico, it took only a few short weeks for it to show up all over the globe. If it had been a truly deadly virus, we would already be talking about history, not a possible future.

While I agree this is probably nothing, why are you so concerned with trying to police what the moderators have clearly chosen to allow?

There's not much specific in any of it; it's more like the stuff that set up the ATF, and look at how well that's worked out.
