Booth, TX

Post by Tass »

In the 70's I remember going with several families down to Booth, TX (Ft. Bend County) for BBQ & dancing a few times in the summer. It was quite the field trip since there really wasn't much between Cypress and Booth at the time. We just referred to it as going to Booth. Does anyone know if there is a BBQ joint still there that has the dancefloor? I tried google-fu but nothing rings a bell.

Anyone?

It's not in Booth, but fits the description.

Swinging Door‎

Been there since 1973.

Edit: hmm, too slow!

Swinging door is up by 723 and 359, a few miles North of Rosenberg. Booth is on 762, a few miles East of Rosenberg, and just past where I turn off if I go to work that way.

The place you refer to in Booth was there a few years ago; we looked at a house near there and I remember it. If I have a chance to swing by there I'll look and get back to this thread with a report.

BTW Swinging door has real good BBQ, almost as good as Vincek's Smokehouse in East Bernard.

We are buying a house just east of Rosenberg. I will have to give the Swinging Door a try. :thumbs2:
