CHL-70 Form Question

Post by James »

Hello, I just found this forum while searching for the CHL-70 form. It looks like a great site!

I am a CHL holder and I recently moved to Illinois. I am filling out the CHL-70 form and I want to make sure I do it correctly before I send it off. My question is: are they looking for my Texas DL/ID # or my Illinois DL/ID # in the box where is asks for your DL/ID, State, Number in Section 1 of the form? Because technically when I received my IL DL, I surrendered my TX DL, even though my CHL has my TX DL/ID #.

Thanks for the help, I would prefer to do it correctly the first time.

I think a call to the DPS would be the best thing to do.

Yes, calling is best. The section is referring to your new DL #, in case any one else is curious.
