I have words for it. Sensationalist journalism. It exacts the kind of response you'd expect. FEAR of GUNS and GUN OWNERS! The guy has a problem without a doubt. The comment at the end says it all though; They are going to check if any other laws were broken. I just Googled Pepper Spray and Tear Gas grenades. They are $79.95, just like the ones pictured, "rubber ball CS tear gas grenade". What exactly is an "illegal ballistic plate"? Is the house in an area where shooting is prohibited, most likely. That's not a federal offense. Interestingly they never mentioned what he was charged with, just that they hope he gets the help he needs. I didn't hear one item in the long dissertaion of the young lady that was illegal. Does any one really need CS and PS grenades? probably not. It is unfortunate a whacko becomes the face of RTKBA to many. However, until he's diagnosed mentally unfit he would be entitled to buy and own everything I viewed, even in the "shear volume". Before any one thinks otherwise I am not an advocate of para-military groups, weapon hoarding nor do I subscribe to anything other than lawful, peaceful support and/or opposition to policies of the government.

Some of those grenades can be/are regulated by ATF. Can't tell which ones he had, or what they really were. AFT regulates weird things, every time our SWAT sets of a flashbang they have to register it with the ATF.

Guy was def off his rocker IMO. Lots of negative 2A press.

This has been an ongoing topic on some other forums. Here's what it boils down to: he had nothing illegal. All charges have been dismissed except the charge of discharging firearms within 500' of a building, but if he really was firing in his attic, it doesn't apply because the law exempts firing inside a building.

So, one misdemeanor count that won't stick, but the judge refuses to allow him bail because of "dangerousness". He's been sitting in jail for four months with no recourse, while people accused of murder and rape in that same area are released on bail from $1,000 to $25,000.
