It would have to be a modified stock to be legal in California. Because we all know California has common sense laws which work, and nobody ever breaks them.

Dangit, I ran to this thread because I halfway expected it to be someone asking about good shooting ranges in California, because I know a few.

Instead it's unsurprising stories like these that remind me why I left, even though I miss the sodding place terribly.

There actually is an "AR-47" that someone used to sell, it's an AR pattern rifle (upper/lower) that shoots AK ammo. I doubt that was the intended meaning though
