Does anyone know if the FBI is done with the census people yet and back to work on my, err, everyones chl apps yet? I have been "frozen", status wise since 4/29

My wife's hasent moved either. But I still check the mail everyday in hopes that they just forget to update the system and mail it anyway. It keeps my fragile mind occupied! :clapping:

Does anyone know how to tell what the status of your application now that the new website is up and running. I was “pending” in the old website waiting to submit certified copies of a background search in Tarrant County. Finally submitted them last week and this is what my status looks like today.
• Application : Received
• Fingerprints : Received
• Affidavits : Received
• DL or ID : Valid
• Citizenship : No documentation required
• Passport photo holder : Received
• Photo : Received
• Proof of Classroom training : Received
• Proof of Proficiency training : Received
• Fee : Received
Plastic - 05/27/10

Next it will have these two blocks.

Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

But don't get your hopes up to high when you see this, it still takes awhile. Mine has not changed since 5/2 when they first made the change.

redlin67, your situation was a bit unique due to the FBI stuff going on with the Census workers... hopefully that log jam has now broken and things will get back on track. :hurry:

Might want to check to see if you changed to manufacturing. Mine changed today and ours both went to review about the same time.

It did update, I posted in the April room. Congrats to both of us, we should get our plastic around the same time also. :cheers2:

Today my status changed to:
"Concealed Handgun License : Manufacturing" :woohoo
4/3/10 CHL Class
4/5/10 Hand delivered CHL Application to DPS
4/16/10 Received PIN from DPS
5/17/10 Concealed Handgun License : "Manufacturing"
5/27/10 License in my hand!!
