Got my chl the first year offered. Renewed twice and let it lapse in 2006. Went back thru the entir class 5/15 and mailed paperwork this morning. We'll see how long it takes. Was told it's gotten faster???

For a timeliness, DPS received my application about March 26, and I had my plastic in 34 days.
In April there was a slow down due to FBI fingerprint checks on Census workers, but that is now over, it should be very quick.
