An 83-year-old woman was found dead in her home, probably murdered, on South East Road in Texas City. Her vehicle was missing. The vehicle is described as a "teal green 1997 four-door Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with Texas license plates Z84-HDM."

The address is an isolated location close to the Texas Avenue (F.M. 1765) "nexus of evil" between Texas City and La Marque. See http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21192" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There's a warm place waiting for someone who would kill an 83-year-old woman. Very warm.

Sad
Yep, Reservations in a special city have been made for all who prey on the weak.
There's a lake there where monifilament fishing line melts and asbestos line must be used.
Someone probably just lost a grandmother, mother and maybe a great grandmother.
Very sad.

Police confirmed that the death was a homicide by strangulation. The murder probably occurred Friday.
The victim's vehicle was found burned in Dickinson Saturday morning.
With a nod to the well-known book The Gift of Fear, if someone, a neighbor or relative, gives you the creeps, there's probably a good reason for it.
A large part of the horror of the movie Psycho is that Norman Bates's body language is broadcasting, "Run! Get out of here!" and poor Janet Leigh is trying to act polite and non-committal.

Well, that's a relief. Just a cold-blooded killer who would strangle an elderly lady.Police believe [the victim] was targeted and not a victim of a random crime, Burby said.
“From what we know, there is not a crazed individual running around,” Burby said. He added that, based on the initial evidence gathered, [the victim's] assailant either knew her or she knew him or her.

Her car was broken into several times in the last year, but nothing was ever stolen from the vehicle and no other cars were broken into on the block, [a] longtime friend ... said.
