Dashcam video: OH LEO shoots unarmed biker in back.

Normally I side with the police in just about all cases. Reason being, 1 simple idea - the other person started it. If they hadnt torn ass away from that stop sign and just pulled over he wouldnt be sitting in a wheel chair right now. It is his fault that he gets a neat blue sign to hang from his rear view mirror the rest of his life.

However, in this case...he had plenty of time to observe the rider, and no furtive gentures were made that I saw, the guy was sitting there with his hands on hips. He had no reason to shoot at this guy.

I am a perfectionist and I like to believe anything can be explained, however situations like this are just tragic. Two guys out having a good time, and they start acting like idiots in front of a cop.

Respect for law enforcement is virtually non-existant in the mind of most citizens these days. Of course you could make the argument that respect for ones fellow man is virtually non-exisant either.........ahhh phoooey, I'm going to have a DP and call it a night.

My heart goes out to the officer and the rider...talk about could have used "better judgement" on both of their parts.

I guess that kid will think twice before running away from cops on a bike as well. This whole situation is not just the Cops fault.

I agree with the fact that cops have a stressfull job but they chose the job.

He shouldnt have shot that guy..........period
