I need to go take a cold shower. I love them so much. My first time at the range was with a friends Raptor. What a machine.

The quality of workmanship is above and beyond, and they shoot like a dream

Fair warning, if you shoot one, you will get a Kimber habbit. Fair warning. They shoot as good as they look.

What's the difference from Ultra Carry II?
Please help the wounded store owner who fought off 3 robbers. He doesn't have medical insurance.

I believe the main difference is that the Ultra has a 3" barrel and the Pro has a 4".

Pro is fullsize frame and ultra takes officers mags. In addition to barrel length mentioned above.

The barrel on the Ultra's is a 3" inch, the Pro is a 4" and the Custom is the full size 5". And yes, the Ultra does have the shorter grip and you loose one round. But the difference between the Carry II and the Super Carry line is pretty significant. While both have the Kimber match trigger, match barrel and match receiver, the Super carry adds much more like: The rounded "bob tail" grip which is more comfortable and reduces "printing" when carrying. It is built 100% in Kimbers custom shop which means higher tolerances. Plus ambi safety, tritium nite sites with cocking shoulder, carry melt, super carry serrations on slide/frame/flat top (more comfortable than checkering) SWEET, High cut under trigger guard, Rounded mainspring housing and frame, aluminum frame and Micarta/laminated wood grips. Lastly, and maybe most importantly, these models DO NOT have the Schwartz safety, which all Kimber pistols with the "II" on them have. Huge difference in feel and options between the Pro Carry II and the Super Carry Pro.

For those in the area of League City, the Arms Room had a Super Carry Pro (SCP) in stock last Friday. Don't know how long it'll last before someone snaps it up.

PM me if you want to know the price they had on it.

They said that the SCP and two XDM-45's came in last Tuesday, and the XDM's were gone by the end of the day.

Update: my wife decided I needed a really great Father's Day gift, so the Super Carry Pro is no longer at The Arms Room, but at the LarryH abode.

She's definitely a keeper.

Sorry, Charles. I plan to steal a morning fairly soon (at PSC, of course) to begin the break-in process and side-by-side compare with my Pro Carry II, if you want to check it out.

For the rest of you, pictures will take a while. Sorry.

Went to PSC yesterday morning, to continue the break-in process on the new Super Carry Pro. It's up to about 400 rounds now, and still occasionally failing to go into battery -- seemed to be worse toward the end of the session, when the gun had heated up. Don't think I'm limp-wristing it, but suppose it's possible.

Charles stopped by and shot a magazine through it. He liked the way it feels. He also tried out my 9mm STI Guardian and my wife's Sig 229 with Elite grip panels.
