Re: Had a Gov Perry experience two nights ago
I've thought about getting into the trapping trade but I don't think there's a market for pelts anymore. I used to make quite a bit of walking around money doing that when I was a kid but that market is gone I think.

I don't know if there is as much money in it as there used to be, but It can be a fun hobby that can easily pay for itself... Unlike my hobbies. I have what you might call an "over active" trigger finger.TDDude wrote:I've thought about getting into the trapping trade but I don't think there's a market for pelts anymore. First off geocaching ROCKs! I'm a fellow cacher (Matthew2000tx).
we see many cyotes here in the Helotes area which is a subrurb of San Antonio. As the poster from grapevine stated there are green ways that run in major cities and wild things like to travel in those; that "Where the Wild Things Are!"

Geocaching is big fun. I have been doing it with the neighbors for a while but just logged on not too long ago. Seems like like minds are like minds :)

I initially hesitated in replying to this post, as I didn't want to bring it off topic. One of the reasons (not the main reason) I wanted to obtain my CHL was to be able to legally carry while geocaching. My caching name, Lefty Writer, is the same one I use on other forums.

Hey, whatever it takes to get guns on hips. Whatever "GeoCatching" is, if it requires being armed, it must be fun!!Lefty Writer wrote:I initially hesitated in replying to this post, as I didn't want to bring it off topic. My wife and I too enjoy geocaching. She's from Michigan so when we drive we use it as an excuse to break up my temptation to drive non-stop between fuel stops.
And more on topic, I ranch for myself and manage another ranch nearby, so I get to have similar Gov. experiences quite often. I usually just refer to them as drive-by shootings though. It's hogs more often than coyotes but either will die if they lose their situational awareness at the wrong moment.
