The above link is to the home page of the Austin Free Press and contains
interviews with multiple people at the Austin Police Department gun buyback
program, which took place on Saturday, 6/5/10.

I am the guy in the still capture before you click on the video to watch it.
I have on my white Stetson, sunglasses, and USA flag shirt.

Yes, my Boston roots show when I speak, but my accent isn't nearly as bad
as somehow from Boston who never tried to lose it.

Unfortunately he cut out a funny exchange. After I said that I turned in the
broken .22 rifle the reporter asked "So, do you have more guns at home?"
Since I was carrying my Taurus at the time I replied "No, it's not at home!"
We both had a laugh.

By the way, the reporter is a 2A friend and owns a Glock 17.

Enjoy.

It's intriguing to me that you could make any kind
of guess on my size by reading previous comments
by me on a variety of threads.

I may not be as big as you thought, but my feet do touch
the ground. :-)

I wish they would have one of these here in Houston. I've got a OOOLLLLD .38 Crucero revolver I want to turn into a gift certificate.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.

During the interview I gave the forum's website address
and promoted NRA membership.

Both of those nuggets ended up on the cutting room floor.

Nice job, SIA. I think your comment about using the $100 to buy a new gun really resonates.

Well done, SIA.

Though for some reason, I thought you'd be wearing different sunglasses. :rolll

Oh Lordy... We now have a budding media superstar on our hands. We'll never hear the end of his manifold virtues and many blandishments. SIA my friend, you are one of kind... ...and I mean that in the best way!

TAM:

Why thank you for your kind words, sir.

Do I feel a Comedy Central type roast coming up?

Yes, sir - I'm unique........just like everybody else!! :-)

AndyC thought I'd be taller.
Ropin thought I'd have different sunglasses.
I wonder what else someone thought of me that didn't match expectations. :-)
