That's alright. The next time we fire up the BBQ, you and the missus will have to come over and join us. I'm pretty sure I can make a believer out of her.AndyC wrote:I'm with you on that one (but I got vetoed) :(The Annoyed Man wrote:But gas is for heathens. True believers use wood and smoke!
No. I have a smoker on a trailer that has the gas feed for the smoker.KD5NRH wrote:Does it have any sort of provision for using the gas to get the charcoal going?carlson1 wrote:I just purchased a Char-Griller Duo Gas and Charcoal Grill. It is the best I believe I have every had. Best of both worlds.
I've been lookin at one of those. Glad y'all both like it. Might have to pick up one soon. Where'd you find best deal?pbwalker wrote:That's exactly what I have! I added the smoker box off to the side of the charcoal chamber. I love the grill! It has worked flawlessly for me for about 2 years now. There are modifications you can make to it as well, to enhance smoke saturation and heat disbursement.carlson1 wrote:I just purchased a Char-Griller Duo Gas and Charcoal Grill. That steak and shrimp pic has made me want to go out tomorrow and buy me another Weber!
All in all, it was the best money I have spent on a grill. Gas on the weekdays when time is limited, charcoal when I want the flavor and have the time to slow cook!
Academy had the best price. I believe Lowes has them now too. There is a "new" version called the Char Griller Trio, but all it does is add the smoke box. It was $249 without the smoke box. $299 with it.austinrealtor wrote:I've been lookin at one of those. Glad y'all both like it. Might have to pick up one soon. I don't even want to tell y'all what mine cost. It's a little embarrassing. But, it is the best smoker grill I've ever owned, and it will last the rest of my life.carlson1 wrote:Mine was $249 at Home Depot and I had a 15% and a gift certificate.
