While doing some yardwork today, I saw a brown patch in the yard and quickly figured out that I had a leak in the sprinkler system. I had a full day planned and fixing the sprinkler system was not part of it, so I called the nieghborhood handyman since I also needed a faucet fixed, some trimwork done, along with a few other things. He roughly quoted $450 over the phone. I have no doubt this was a fair price and he does excellent work, but my mind wasn't focused on the $450. Instead, it was focused on Silverbear's Beretta 92FS that he was selling for $450. I was thinking.... would I trade a flawless 92FS for an afternoon worth of house repairs. No way. Needless to say, I mowed the yard, fixed the faucet, fixed the sprinker system, and the other odds and ends that needed doing.
Thanks Silverbear. You saved me $450.

I'd like to save some money too, but I don't know what a "sprinker" system is, or how to fix one. If I did though, I'd fix and buy another gun too.Tregs wrote:No way. Needless to say, I mowed the yard, fixed the faucet, fixed the sprinker system, and the other odds and ends that needed doing.
