Texas Parks & Wildlife on YouTube

Post by joe817 »

I was born in Texas, as were the previous 5 generations of my ancestors before me. I've been to most parts of Texas over my lifetime, at least once. But there are so many places I've yet to see and never will before I join my ancestors.

In all my travels across this great State, it never ceases to amaze me of all the beauty that Texas has to offer.

I "discovered" this morning around 6am that Texas Parks & Wildlife has its own channel on YouTube. And I've been totally engrossed in watching the selections offered all morning.

If you're looking for a day outing, or a weekend trip, or a week's road trip to explore what this State has to offer, you may want to peruse the channel to get some ideas.

For me up here in North Central Texas, historic Fort Richardson in Jacksboro(Jack County), is particularly interesting. I used to live but 40 miles north of there in Clay County, so that's a natural for me. Fort Richardson puts on a "living museum" which I find fascinating.

If you get cabin fever and want to go somewhere in Texas, take a look:

One of the best things I love about Texas is that it has so much to offer
such as a rich history and seemingly endless destinations to visit.
Why go anywhere else? :txflag:

Now if they could just do something about that darn heat.

Thank you for the site. :thumbs2: I am planning for this summer and fall trips in the new RV. The wife has discovered the Texas wine country. :txflag:
