Road trip for the wife

Hey all,
My wife will be goin on a road trip here in the near future. She will be meeting some family from Indiana about half way to let the kiddos visit before school starts. I am trying to figure out the best way for her to go...through Arkansas or through Oklahoma.

She does NOT have a CHL and I was wondering if any of you know about vehicle carry through the aforementioned states? Do they have a defense to prosecution for "travelers"? Do they have a MPA or the like? Any other info that you guys will be helpful.

P.S. I already looked at handgunlaw.us but I also read that Arkansas has somewhat of a defense to prosecution for "travelers" so I am getting mixed results and hope you all have some first hand knowledge in your vast knowledge banks.
