I recently saw one of those signes in NH. They are building a bridge that the locals call "the bridge to nowhere". I'll post a pic when I go back next month.

Without getting political, let me say that spending someone else's earnings is too easy in our system. When things get tight in a business that must be competitive to survive, discretionary spending is curtailed, not increased.
