Safety Council of Texas City

Post by Liberty »

I found I needed to get a TWIC card which is W's $132.50 hidden tax for dockworkers. To apply for this card, I had to go into the Safety Council of Texas City building. I was surprised to see that it is properly 30.06 posted. If this is an agency dedicated to safety then, why are they running a victim rich zone? I'm assuming they want people defenseless, At any rate the Safety Council of Texas City is a dangerous place. a shooter can just come in blasting with full assurance that the law abiding will be unarmed.

Did you read the fine print? Maybe the policy is because disarming us makes it safer for criminals.

It is a government owned or leased property?

If so, that 30.06 sign is worth less than the paper it's printed on :thumbs2:

It's a private entity funded by the facilities that use them for training

It's not unexpected since TCSC is connected to the petrochemical industry. The industry is well known for having draconian rules for it's employees, especially in the area of firearms. :rules:

It's a private, so called, not for profit organization that owns the building. The TWIC program is managed by by Lockheed Martin or at least thats who the check is made out to. The office space receptionist is Safety council people. there seems to be lots of money to go around.

Just strikes me as wierd that a so called Safety Council would disarm the law abiding, but does nothing to prevent the armed criminal types from coming in.
