We had dinner with some friends (yes, we have a couple) Saturday evening. When we got in the truck at 2030 hrs. the OAT gauge said 100°. By the time we got to our house some five miles away, the OAT had dropped to a balmy 96°.

C'mon October!

The wife and I were sitting on our front porch enjoying some stoggies for a few hours the other night and I didn't even break a sweat. I have been thinking the opposite, this summer seems to be cooler in the evenings with more frequent breezes than usual. Low of 76 tonight. Then again maybe I'm just less hot headed than previous summers.

My thermometer showed 102 most of the day on Sunday. It was hovering between 105-107 on Saturday. I snuck out to the Garland range at 10:00 AM when it was cool at 94 degrees when I got there...it was a lot warmer when I left. The weather forecast on my desktop says a high of 108 for Dallas today.

I think you're right... which is why I'm not going outside today. :smilelol5:

Had to mow the yard yesterday. . . waited until 7:00 pm to start, and it was still pretty hot, but by then I had some shade.

Gave in and bumped the AC to 80 degrees this morning. . . we're still alive and it actually cycles off once in a while now.

Shot a 3-gun match at PSC on Saturday.
Got so hot and dehydrated that I couldn't spit.

Had to just stick out my tongue and scrape it with a knife.
