I wonder if the outcome would be different if CCW's were present.
Let's just pray for all the victims and their families. It's sad that these kinds of things happen.

They, allegedly, had video of him stealing from the company.
So, allegedly, they were going to fire him.
So, allegedly, that means they're racist.
And, allegedly, that's why he killed them.

The story makes my head hurt.

The shooter's girlfriend "said" he had a pistol permit. I was under the impression that 'pistol permits' were kinda' hard to come by in Connecticut...maybe not?

From what I can tell, Connecticut is a may issue state. I can only assume that it would be more difficult or time consuming to obtain one.

The press sure is having a field day playing up the "Well, he was oppressed", with all the implicit weight that those workers "had it comin"....I'm extremely angry right now because the press is giving so much sympathy mileage to a man who was nothing more than a cowardly, cold-blooded murderer.

An awful lot of hearsay in there.

Interesting that even the union supported the company, and considering that it's the Teamsters, that says a lot. I have a feeling that this guy had a record that went a long way back in his time with the company. When I was a steward, and then later as management, the only people I ever saw fired with the union's support were long time problem employees who had been given many chances to straighten up.

CT had, a while back, a reputation of having some "loose" jurisdictions for issuing "gun permits." If you lived in Danbury or Bridgeport, you need not apply, but if you lived in Litchfield, Torrington, or even Newington, you got a rubber stamp.

He probably had the "permit" because he was a delivery driver with merchandise people would like to steal. Even he was stealing it.

That was my thought too when I read that. Why does everything have to do with race? The guy was obviously a crapbag...stealing company merchandise and then killing innocent people when he was fired. Why is the race card played when it has nothing to do with the situation?

For the record, the perp was the one who played the race card. He claimed he was being discriminated against.

During his decision to resign or be fired, he asked to leave the room for a sip of water, went to his lunch box and grabbed two 9mm's, when he returned he began shooting.

Oh BTW the 911 call has already been released. Seems in this case that was easy to do.

911 caller is pretty calm considering he is shot twice, neck and head, and bleeding really bad.

Do 911 operators always ask lots and lots of questions before they summon the police, or do they immediately summon the police and are just asking lots questions to keep you on the line? Your wanting the police there immediately, and there asking what is the man with a gun's name a second time.
