just amazing took soooooooooooo long ....just for the packet...I got mine in about 7 days max!

Well...good luck on getting everything filled in and sent off. Did you already have your print cards from and notorized stuff from the class??

Yes Skipper, Everything is done, I am sitting in my office going over it with the tips from this site I will be heading to the post office in a few to start the countdown to the plastic. I am excited now!

I did the online application Sept 24th, was shipped Sept 25th this is what followed:

I live 15-20 blocks from where they ship out mind you:

Should of been here Oct 3rd-4th..it wasn't. Went to the office Oct-12 and said "HEY WTH?" they said only thing they can do is ship out another one.

Fast forward to two days ago: I called after not getting either of those two I asked for and they sent out another one making it the third one.

Today finally got one! The 2nd one that was post marked the 13th. We'll see if I end up with one of the other two at some point. 2 blocks per day...talk about government efficiency.

Hint for the future applicants: When dealing with two government agencies (DPS and the post office) be ready for confusion and frustration.

Dropping it off tomorrow personally and then I will officially be in the waiting room.
