NRA Will NOT Endorse Reid
In my email just now.
"The vote on Elena Kagan's confirmation to the Court, along with the previous year's confirmation vote on Sonia Sotomayor, are critical for the future of the Second Amendment. After careful consideration, the NRA-PVF announced today that it will not be endorsing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for re-election in the 2010 U.S. Senate race in Nevada."

We better hope that smilin' good 'ol buddy of Michael Bloomburg, Chuck Schumer, doesn't get Reid's seat.

There are a few ways to make sure that doesn't happen, some Legal, but all Constitutional.

Well, since Chuckie has virtually no chance of losing in NY this fall, we better hope that Reid wins or that the Republicans gain enough seats to take over the Senate. The latest odds on the Senate switching parties are about 20%.Oldgringo wrote:We better hope that smilin' good 'ol buddy of Michael Bloomburg, Chuck Schumer, doesn't get Reid's seat.

Re: NRA Will NOT Endorse Reid
The NRA did the right thing and I for one am glad that they did. The NRA went along way in restoring my faith and credibility in them with the decision not to endorse the horrible Reid.

Re: NRA Will NOT Endorse Reid
Remember this the next time you get anything from GOA lying about the NRA. I wonder how much money GOA raised with that latest round of garbage?
The endorsement was Reid's to loose and he did so with his vote for Kagan. When we sent a letter to all Senators telling him the Kagan vote would be a scored vote, all of them know what that meant. Actions have consequences.

This must have been a difficult but courageous decision. Thanks for letting us incite into the factors that went into this decision. I have quoted you in an attempt to explain the decision on my blog. Hope you don't mind.Charles L. Cotton wrote:Remember this the next time you get anything from GOA lying about the NRA. Absolutely. If Schumer takes over that seat, that new and improved gun ban that was floating the senate halls, is almost a certainty. This could be "baby out with the bath water" event.
For memory's sake here's Susanna Gratia Huff testifying about the Luby's massacre. The smirking senator is Schumer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1u0Byq5Qis" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Reid is stupid but pro 2nd. Schumer is malevolent and anti 2nd.

They're not endorsing Angle, either.

An NRA spokesperson confirms that the group will not endorse Angle, either.
"We will not be making an endorsement in the NV Sen race," NRA spokesman Andrew Arulnanandam wrote in an e-mail. The group declined to comment on its specific reasons for not endorsing Angle.

no matter how many times I watch this video it is still chilling. Susanna perfectly, and eloquently explains the true meaning of the 2nd Amendmentlrb111 wrote:hirundo82 wrote:Well, since Chuckie has virtually no chance of losing in NY this fall, we better hope that Reid wins or that the Republicans gain enough seats to take over the Senate.
