Are Hawaiian shirts really cliche?

When one wears a 5XLT, sometimes it's all they can find to wear that doesn't cost half a paycheck.

I lost my source for affordable guayabera shirts. I was buying from http://www.blair.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , but they stopped carrying anything larger than 3XL.

I bought a couple from http://www.haband.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , but the only ones they have in 5XL are with a zipper.

On the Islands, Aloha shirts are acceptable in many, perhaps even most, business and formal occasions. Sometimes the difference between formal and casual is: 'Aloha shirt in' vs. 'Aloha shirt out'.

with USA1. I wear a lot of "panel" shirts which are sometimes called "camp" shirts... the one I'm wearing today is by Rivers End. I find them on Amazon mostly.

I have a couple of "Hawaiian shirts" (by the way they're called palaka shirts in Hawaii), but rarely wear them.

Have you tried the jeans there? I have a hard time finding large sizes in stores. Any Any comments on their clothing quality?

They were carrying Wranglers, which I often bought in the relaxed fit. They stopped carrying Wranglers. When I was a size 56, I had good luck with their private brand Scandia Woods jeans. But when I went to size 54, I didn't care for them. In 54, the Scandia Woods are too short-waisted. Plus, there is a full 12" between belt loops in front. They space loops 5" apart everywhere except in front, so they droop down below the belt. I'd say jeans are hit or miss, depending on your size.

Their quality is good. I still buy a lot of casual dress shirts from Blair.

Sportsmans Guide has started selling workwear now and I've been able to buy Wranglers from them. Not everything is available in big sizes, but enough are that it's worth looking.

I've been an obnoxious "hawaiian" shirt fan for years-- They're comfy and hide that right side (and above the waist) bulge well for me.

My collection has been dwindling somewhat-- those things shrink in my closet. I used to get them at Academy-- nope... WalMart--nope.... I found a few at Kohls and bought all the 2XL"s the had (only 4). There must be a shortage....

Years ago, I had to give up wearing "Hawaiian flowery shirts" because I couldn't enjoy myself at a restaurant, shopping or at any public place because of the commotion I caused because people thought I was Tom Selleck.
