Underpowered? :smilelol5:

I can't leave the keys in the door, with keyless start and all :thumbs2:

I've owned a few fords in my day, and the acronym "Found On Road Dead" matches them to a T... or an F for that matter.

I had a friend in high school who rammed his Dodge into a tree. :tiphat:

I like imports, but I like V8's too. Motorcycles make me happy as well. Wouldn't mind an SRT10 either. Just wish I had more money for such things. :cheers2:

do you know who builds most of mazda's stuff? do some looking around I belive you will find that both the 2.0 and the 2.5 are both ford engines IM not sure what trans is behind either but its more then likly that the ford engine is hooked to a ford trans.

Ford has it's paws in some of the stuff, and I don't know about the 2.0 or 2.5, but the 2.3 Turbocharged in mine I'm 99% sure is japanese mazda.

Doesn't Ford own Mazda? Or didn't they use to?

:iagree: I'm not sure what became of that merger, but it did happen. The Ford Probe had a mazda engine and they seemed to "share" parts between the companies around the same time.

The Mazda B2000 pickup truck and the Ford Courier were pretty much one and the same. I had a little underpowered Courier back in the 80s and that sucker ran forever.

Ford owned part of mazda, not the whole company. So like the above poser said, they shared some parts/engines but mazda is still it's own company.

all kidding aside. The speed 3 is a neat little ride. I almost bought one for my wife. She opted for a mustang.
As a Ford tech I am forced to say buy a ford.
