Question about receiving license in the mail
My mailing address that DPS sends my paperwork to for renewing is my POB. On my actual license it is my home address, so if I'm thinking correctly the actual license should come to my address on my license, right? Thanks, just want to make sure I check the right one tomorrow when my license should be here.

Re: Question about receiving license in the mail
I was asked about mailing and physical address locations. Mine was mailed to mailing address as they do not deliver to house.
Re: Question about receiving license in the mail
I'm still confused. I have changed my address 3 times while having my CHL and it always came to my home address on the license. BUT, my paperwork from them always comes to my POB. It STILL hasn't arrived at my home, so now I wonder if it is at my POB????? I only go there once a week, but guess I will go tomorrow to see if it is there.cnovel wrote:I was asked about mailing and physical address locations. Re: Question about receiving license in the mail
Just FYI, it did come to my POB and not the address on my license in case anyone else has the same problem.

I've been thinking about it for a few minutes now and I still don't get it. What's POB? I doubt it's place of birth.

Re: Question about receiving license in the mail
I have the same "problem". Since moving into my current house some 25 years ago, I've never had "local delivery". I don't even want a mail box in front of the house. Back in the 80's we had a real problem with vandalism on rural mailboxes, so we started out with both personal and business address as a PO Box. It's a constant problem to distinguish delivery method for packack or "legal" orders, whether US Mail or common carrier. When I got my CHL several years ago I had no problem with proper delivery. It's just a matter of making sure you pay proper attention to the details. I've found it almost routine to make sure the organization I'm "ordering" from knows I have a different mailing address (or billing address) than my physical location. It's a real PITA when dealing with some people. I feel your pain.
