love the hole in the wall joints.
Also, the hot dog vendors in late night Honolulu. Hot dogs dressed like nachos at 2 in the morning are tasty. The NYC street vendor reminded me of them.

Anyway, like I was sayin', shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.

Lobster comes close, but it's just like a big shrimp to me.

YAY!!

Favorite foods? Mediterranean, Persian, Turkish, Indian, Thai. Warm fruit compote, falafel wraps, sweet corn tomalito, waldorf salad, mashed potatoes with white gravy, good thick eggplant parmesan, pakoras, sweet potato fries, McDonalds McGriddles, sirets, German apple pancakes, eggnog, Chinese steamed buns (baos), corn fritters, BBQ beans, sweet pickles, and almost ANY dessert. I like dessert.

Least Favorite Foods? Meat, cooked greens, cottage cheese, melted cheese, boiled asparagus.

Dying to try? Yesterday I would have said affogato, but I made that and it was good. Now I'll say pho and that I want to try my hand at making my own tiramisu.

Favorite Restaurants? Spiral Diner, and Nazar, and Cafe Tazza, and Fadi's

ETA: It looks like PB and I have some shared likes and dislikes. I'll have to check out the Turquoise Grill next time we're in San Antonio!

LOL, don't hold back now. You did name off quite a few good ones. I usually get Eggplant Parmesan if I go somewhere Italian. Sweet potato fries. mmm.
PHO is really good. My friend made some a while ago at work and it was pretty awesome. Restaraunt pho is hit or miss. I believe my friend said PHO 95 is a good place for pho.

Ha ha ha! I make a meal out of their sweet tea, a brownie, and a fruit cup. That's almost all the major food groups, you know. Fruits and veggies, carbs, protein from the brownie nuts, a little sugar and fat...it's all good!

If it grows, walks, crawls, slides or slithers, I'll try it at least once...and probably have.

Love:
Nigirizushi (Ebi, Tako, Ika, Maguro, Uni, etc.)... and bluefin
Chinese: Schezhuan
Vietnamese: Bun, fresh springroll, Pho
Italian: All of it, especially northern italian. (Love the linguine with artichoke pesto creme at Collosseum).
Greek: Suvlaki, Spanokapita, etc. (The pork tenderloin suvlaki with Greek potatoes at the Greek Deli Cafe. )
Middle Eastern: most anything. I love lamb with saffron rice. Awesome.
Indian: Rogan Josh, Lamb anything, Goat Curry (Cuisine of India). I also miss Udipi in my area (southern Indian: Iddly with Sambar, Masala dosai, etc. )
Mexican: I like Mexican food (and Tex-Mex) but I'm really into Salvadoran right now. I love the carne desilada at Riviera's and also pupusas and pastalitos. Cabrito.
Spanish: Tapas, grilled and fried fish, piella.
French: But of course, I am French!
Cuban: the sandwich and the coffee.

Sonny's in Galveston!

...and the list goes on.

Hate:
Overcooked anything.
Food prepared without craft or thought. :mad5

Oh man. I think they took a picture of the steak I ordered when I went to Ruths Chris. The only way I could describe it to anybody was "meat butter".

No, I do not cut up butter and eat small slices.
Yes, the filet I had cut like a hot knife through butter.

I cried when it was over.

One. Well because it was over. Two. Because we got the bill. 600 bucks aint bad for a group of friends to eat like kings.
