My wife and I went to a movie tonight and I wore my Thunder Ranch Special in a Comp-Tac C-TAC and a home-made IWB single mag. carrier, all under a Wrangler denim vest. No one noticed. There, now the post is "TexasCHLforum relevant."
Facing the Giants was one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's not a big budget, box office bonanza. It tells the story of a highschool football coach and his wife who deal with trying times through a strong faith in God and Christ. This faith has a direct impact on the football team and some of the players' families. It is a very powerful movie and I highly recommend it to anyone.
I have to admit my wife is the one who wanted to go; I wanted to see Flags of Our Fathers. Well, the Lord wanted me to see this movie and I'm glad I did.

I will put that on my list of movies to see.
Oh yeah......., I took my 1911 with me this afternoon when I went to the woods scouting. (Gun content)
Lots of hog tracks. I think I'll go sit for a little bit in the morning, see if I can't even things up for "Old Yeller". Anyone remember that movie?

Spartans ask not how many, but where!
Was it at a regular theater?
I haven't been to the movie theater lately, so I don't know what's playing. I haven't seen it advertised, but good movies often aren't.
Dh rented a movie tonight called The Lake House. Excellent movie. And very clean.

"If a man breaks in your house, he ain't there for iced tea." Mom & Dad.
The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

Yes, it's at the Cinemark in Webster. I haven't seen it advertised either. Martha learned about it from her Sunday School teacher. I was really surprised to see Samuel Goldwyn was one of the producers! I have no idea if he is a Christian, but he hardly invested in this type of movie thinking it would generate a pot of gold after the Passion of the Christ.Venus Pax wrote:Was it at a regular theater?

Carl, this movie is worth breaking your 25 year drought. It's a wonderful story about real people facing real problems and putting into practice what we all preach in Sunday School and Church. Most Christians face questions from Believers and non-believers about how to put our beliefs into practice in the real world. Well, this movie will show a lot of people how.
Sorry for the jury argument, but it's very rare for a movie to have this much of an impact on me. I'm too old and set in my ways.
Chas.
Here is a link to the Fandango ad for the movie. http://www.fandango.com/MoviePage.aspx?date=&mid=95445
