Many clogs in kitchen drain lines are caused by vegetable fiber. As in, cramming a bunch of celery, broccoli
or other "fiberous" veggies into the disposal and grinding away. Mix that with a bit of grease and presto....you
got a clogged drain. After you have run a snake from the outside clean out, take a garden hose and flush to
make sure the line is open. As mentioned in a previous post, Home Depot has a drain cleaner called ZEP. Two
kinds. One in a white bottle and one "Hair Clog" remover in a red bottle. I've found the red bottle has worked
best for me. Shower drain as well as kitchen drain. If you have a double sink, pour it in the open drain, NOT
through the disposal. Read and follow safety instructions. Good luck.
