CHL renewal

Post by Reloader »

I called the CHL division, tried totalk to the person who answered the phone, got nothing but attitude. I told him I did not hear him say Concealed handdguns and asked if this was the place. I was told to get a new phone! I Informed him I renewed online and asked about the CHL 100. I said it had not downloaded. I tried to reprint my recipt..no luck! The payment has been charged to my card. I have not heard back from the "gentleman". I hope I do not have to pay again. I hope this will not end up being a refusal. Is there a supervisor I can talk to? Thanks for your help.

I'd recommend calling again tomorrow - see if you get somebody else. Explain that there's an issue with your payment and ask for a supervisor who can look into the problem.

The CHL-100 is the class completion certificate. You will get it from your instructor when you take your renewal class.

do you remember who you talked to Reloader? I would send an email, I normally send emails to chl, I had someone named Rene(not sure if guy or girl) who emailed back and forth with me and was able to help me out a lot. I'm not much of a phone talker, but prefer to use email. Hope it works out for you..

Ok, now I have sent a typed copy of my checklist to Austin, ,what is the Next step? Rene?, said not to worry, the instructor will provide everything else. I WILL RECEIVE NO MORE INFORMATION UNTIL AFTER I TAKE THE CLASS? Is tbis accurate. All I get is him when I call. he is the head guy according to him.. Can someone tell me if this is correct? Thanks in advance.

Reloader - you have done your renewal application online. All you need to do now is take the renewal class.

Your instructor will give you the CHL-100, which is the certificate that says you completed the class. You send that in to DPS after the class.

That is all you need to do. Really.

The CHL People told me last month that I did not need to go to the class or re-qualify, since my renewal was the 3rd one. Received my new license in 37 days. Thanks, everyone!
