Shoot and Eat in Grapevine

Post by C-dub »

Hi everyone.

After that food thread I'm proposing an afternoon out for those that can make it. We'll have to coordinate a time, but I'm thinking around 2:00 pm at BassPro in Grapevine. Shoot for 1-1.5 hours and then head over to Burritos Locos, which is just a little ways down the road. We could have a friendly little "dot" competition and then the winners can gloat afterwards over chips and guacamole.

How many can do it this Saturday and how many would rather do it next Saturday?

Why Burritos Locos when there is a really good restaurant in that Bass Pro shop?

The pictures that Pucker put up made me want to try that place. I'm always up for some Mexican food.

C-dub, I'm already at the lake for the weekend (I'm a diehard lakerat) so I'm out for this weekend and next weekend (and the following) I'm heading to Chicago for play/work. I might be able to do Wednesday next week. I think the range would be less busy too. I might have to take a raincheck for a few weeks. I'm sure The Annoyed Man will be interested in this too. Burritos Locos is a really neat place and it's CHEAP too. Alot of food for the money and a good place to brush up on your Spanish. Thank you for getting this going, it will be good and fun (and gastronomocally delightful!).

I agree that Bass Pro can be difficult to find a lanes on the weekend, let alone several at the same time. Wednesday would be great for me as long as I know the day before. I'm up for Burritos Locos, too, and I'm always looking for a good place to practice my Spanish.

Count me in...if you'll have me.

I might be interested. Grapevine isn't too far from McKinney. I'll be pretty busy this weekend, but I might be up for some other time.

Of course! I move away from my hometown and they would have to get a shooting range!

I'm interested. Weekends would be better for me, but I could also do a Wednesday evening if that works better for people.

I'm out of town for the long weekend but I'd love to meet up some other time. Weekends are best. Tuesday nights are out until the middle school football season is over.

Sounds like fun, but maybe some other weekend.
Maybe even a once-a-month type gathering for food and shoot-em-up?

Be safe!

Didn't your daddy teach you not to shoot where you eat?

I'm game for either day. There's also a nifty little Mexican place called "Los Cabos" on the NE corner of Northwest Highway and Dooley. Also, there's "El Taco H" on Ball Rd, just a half mile or so down from Burritos Locos. "El Taco H" is where I see a lot of cops eating, so the food is either very good, or it all tastes like donuts.

Can't do it tomorrow, but would certainly like to participate!!! Might even be able to convince She Who Must be Obeyed to tag along, try her new .380 (in pink). You never can tell, can you? Keep me posted on dates/times/places, please!

It's good. I'm probably one of the "cops" you've seen going in there... with my black coat on I look more police officer than security guard

The $1.25 tacos are GREAT.
