Nothing to do but wait and wonder!

Post by chrisansilver »

This will be my first post here, I have read alot of helpful information here but I need an answer on this one.

Will 2 class c misdemeanors in a five year period keep you from receiving your CHL? Dont get me wrong, wrong place wrong time!
one was for Public intox.
the other was assault by contact.

Neither was associated with D.O.C. 42.01 or Family Violence.

One of the real good law gurus will be along for the answer to this one.

May be in the morning but I doubt it.

Neither one will disqualify you, but the assault charge might delay you. I can see DPS holding up while they get verification that it was not family involved. Of course, family involved would disqualify you, which to me justifies their delaying to be sure.

Arrested on both / Time served on PI 5 hours / assault by contact 200.00 fine. These are the skeletons in my closet!
