You may be forgiven for thinking that any man would look proud after catching a large barracuda as he poses with the fish and his 14 year-old daughter at the marina afterwards.

Then you may wonder why his daughter looks less than thrilled. It seems that 14 year old Coral Wira was sitting in a boat while her father fished. Suddenly she saw a silver flash in the air - the barracuda had thrown the hook and grabbed her arm.

Her father managed to kill the fish with a knife in the head, but Coral would need 51 stitches - and her father felt the need to pose for photos before taking her to hospital!
I am speechless.

The picture comments and some of the article comments indicate that she might have been in on the decision to take the final picture ...

It might be good evidence for their lawsuit against the barracuda.

Nah. They'll just sue the hook manufacturer, the line manufacturer, the rod manufacturer, the reel manufacturer, the boat manufacturer, and the state or federal government depending on how far offshore they were.

Somebody has to do something about these barracuda attacks. They are the scourge of the sea. :smilelol5: "rlol":

Does Dudesfarm wine stain?

About that young lady with the father assisted fish injury. That's
gonna leave scars. Terrible, terrible mental scars. In my brain.

If she really posed for that 1st picture voluntarily, she is a lot tougher than me. I would have tied a towel or something over it, just so I didn't have to look at it. Then I would have used the fish to beat the father.

That's what happens when you let the barracuda get too close before drawing on it.
