Has an F rating from the NRA and has expressed support for reinstating the failed assault weapons ban.
If we were going to send a leftie to the Senate from Delaware, it might as well be the leftie with the D behind their name so they can stop claiming "bipartisan support" on bills when people like snow, collins and CASTLE vote with the dems.
As to "oh she could never win"...she wasnt supposed to be able to win against castle either. Man I wish some of you guys would just tell us who's going to win every race so we could stop holding these silly elections to express the peoples will!

I don't want her to win to "prove anybody wrong". At this point, I'm just glad its either going to be an actual conservative in that seat or a Democrat, not a liberal commie pinko in a RINO disguise.
But I'd be pretty tickled if she won.

Re: O'Donnell wins
I invite y'all to look past Texas politics and support this gal. If the Dems win her seat in the senate, we will not have a conservative majority in the legislature. That will be a disaster for 2nd A rights and taxes. The NRA endorses her, according to Newsmax and here is a O'Donnel quote:
Also, please send a MONEY ORDER with a letter or credit/debit card payment with an email or check with a letter telling her to counter criticism of her tax debt with a comment saying that she has financial difficulty so she empathizes with the average American's financial difficulty. She shouldn't try to defend herself nor shrug it off, but turn her financial difficulties into a political asset. Also, she should go moderate on the Abortion issue or she will lose a lot of votes. In a time of financial difficulty, a politician has to choose his/her fights wisely. You can't win all fights, but you CAN win the fight against high taxes and socialism destroying our country. Late term elective abortion is illegal while other abortions are legal. That's a political compromise. You have the right to bear arms, but you have to get a CHL and/or undergo a background check. That's another political compromise. As long as she doesn't lose ground on all other issues, she can go moderate on all other issues EXCEPT for taxation. High taxes and inflation (another sneaky tax) is destroying our country. The war is draining the American economy and putting our boys (and girls) in harm's way. Guerilla wars are unwinnable because you don't know who is the enemy. Look at Soviet Afghanistan. Look at Viet Nam. We should either steamroll everyone in the countries we invade so no one is left or go home. Long protracted wars only drain the economy. A economy can only support guns (war) or butter (everything else). Our enormous war spending is draining our economy. That's why we have a "recession". Did you know that the US military defense budget is 46% of the WORLD's military budget? No wonder we're in a recession....
I invite you to write at least a c-note check/money order for every tea party candidate and for your local candidates (your congressman, your senator, etc), write $1000 checks or buy media ads directly. Or you can do a direct mail campaign for some/all the homes in your voting district. Thanks.
That's good enough for me. I'd want her in the legislature over a libtard any day. So what if the Republican party won't support her because she won't tow the Neocon line of high taxes? Let US, WE THE PEOPLE support her. I invite you to donate to her campaign. However, before I donate, will someone please tell me which website is legit to donate for her cause? My googling found the following two websites; http://christine2010.com/ AND https://secure.donationsafe.com/co/ . Where do I donate? This is not the year to be a liberal career politician who has consistently voted for the overspending and over-taxation that is bankrupting our country.

This will be a very interesting race to watch. I hope she gets some expert help in the the next 40 odd days.
As I heard it/read it,last night it was some unnamed aides or staffers from the NRSC that said she would not get any support. Today, the Chairman of the NRSC, a certain Senator John Cornyn, put out an official announcement that the NRSC would indeed support her and all other Rep nominees for Senate.

Karl Rove didn't just agree, he eviscerated her. I heard the audio. If she loses because the party hacks won't support her, and if her loss makes the difference which is the majority party, then the party hacks are the ones responsible for their party remaining the minority party.

Re: O'Donnell wins
Another large component of her support comes from pro-life people who backed her.
Here's an example from the Susan B. Anthony list...
Here's an example from the Susan B. Anthony list...
The results are in, and...they won!
Kelly Ayotte, the former Attorney General of New Hampshire who successfully took on Planned Parenthood all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in defense of parental rights, and Christine O’Donnell, longtime pro-life activist who has championed the pro-life cause as far and wide as the United Nations, have captured the Republican nominations in both New Hampshire and Delaware and will be on the ballot this November for United States Senate.
Kelly and Christine join a stellar line-up of pro-life women running for the U.S. Senate this November, including Carly Fiorina in California who is running against pro-abortion poster child Senator Barbara Boxer, and Sharron Angle who is running against pro-abortion Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada.
And It couldn't come at a more critical time, a time in which we lack a single pro-life woman's voice in the Senate. The void of a pro-life woman's voice in the Senate could finally be filled this November, but I need your help to do it.

Rove was looking at the Delaware race from normal political strategist view point from a prior to Obama political environment. In other words in this crazy nuts environment we are in now I think anything can happen. He came around a little on Greta tonight. I think it dawned on him that the times we are in are not normal, in any other time frame since I have been alive he would have been right on in his assesment of what would happen in a general election. I think O'Donnell really does have some questions to answer correctly in the general to election on her finances. I dont fault her for having financial problems Lord knows I have had my share, I would rather just see her say I was broke and didnt have the money than blame a financial institution or lender. She would garner my respect more if she just said, "Hey I was broke, no money no pay can do!" I hope she pulls this out and wins in Delaware.

Re: O'Donnell wins
And Rush was right with that comment. Rove really lost his cool, and his head there. I never would have thought I would hear him say something like that about a fellow Republican. He just fed fuel into the fire, making that much harder for the Republican candidate to convince the more centrist voters to vote for the candidate of his own party.74novaman wrote:Rush was awesome today. It is very much up in the air as to whether or not she can win. I certainly hope she does. But if she doesn't, Rove will be partly to blame for it, and I think his days as a Republican strategist would then be over. If he is smart, he will start doing some damage control for his own reputation chop chop. And part of that repair to his reputation will require that he backtrack, eat his words, and then get behind getting her elected, because whether or not he likes it, she is the candidate now, and not Mike Castle.
And Castle is another piece of work. Talk about a graceless chump. That he refuses to endorse the Republican winner of a primary election who won fair and square is proof positive that he is a RINO - a de facto liberal Democrat who wears the Republican mantle only because it brands him as different from all the other endless field of liberal elitist mediocrity. A real Republican would swallow his pride, and get behind the winning candidate. Castle is a classless jerk.

It should be obvious by now that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are happy with the people speaking up. If that doesn't speak volumes, you're deaf.

Re: O'Donnell wins
So true. If wins like O'Donnell's is a result of the "throw them all out" movement, as argued by many, with tongue in cheek one might envision throwing out all the Democrats in office and replacing them with Republicans, and throwing out all the Republicans in office and replacing them with Democrats. One thing would then be certain, the Democratic party would no longer be the majority party.baldeagle wrote:It should be obvious by now that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are happy with the people speaking up.
