At first I thought this was a good thing but hearing more about her background I cannot in good conscience endorse some one that has spoken out against self love. Why not make being a 13 year old boy illegal?

Better yet, do a viral mail campaign where you mail 100 people and ask them to each mail 100 people. Thanks.

ODonnell "dabbled" in witchcraft. Okay I am officially stating my position that she is a loon. I was on board until the withcraft stuff and then realized she has been on MTV and Bill's Politically Incorrect show. Her positions are all over the board. How do you on MTV spout "Godly" religious rhetoric then appear a few years later on Politically Incorrect saying she dated a guy at a satanic bar. Sorry...........LOON!!!!

You're reaching....

She didn't say it should be illegal. What she said is that it is her religious opinion that it is a sin - an opinion shared by most devout Christians, all over the world. That doesn't mean we want to throw people in jail for it. Please. That's a preposterous notion, and an ad hominem argument. Ad hominem is the refuge of those who cannot come up with anything better. Your sins are between you and God, unless you've broken a secular law of some sort in the process. So if you don't think it's a sin, then have at it. Pound away. Just keep it in private.... please.

TAM,

Your rather cheeky response does have some meat in it. OTOH, the candidate is pulling a train of baggage, don't you think?

Despite her flaws, the voters preferred her to Mike Castle. Think about that for a while.

I think the answer to your question is "Yes". Just like the current POTUS, these people do not elect themselves. It's sad to say, but it seems like we vote AGAINST more than we vote FOR these days.

I thought it said something about Castle but then again, these are the voters that kept reelecting Joe Biden. :skep:

I would say that her baggage is getting more press than say, Obama's did when he ran, because she is a conservative. I would also say that a large part of the piling on from so-called conservatives is at the instigation of Republican party elitists who are threatened by the Tea Party because it represents upstart citizens who refuse to sit down and behave at the feet of their supposed betters. Those elitists will, as has been demonstrated by Karl Rove, do whatever they can to impugn her character in the media - as they did to Sara Palin when she was running - so as to reestablish their positions within the party hierarchy. Does Rove still beat his wife?

Christne O'donnel has flaws, but the RINO she beat was "F" rated by the NRA, a supporter of cap'n'tax & other unsavory Obama policies, and since the primary he's revealed himself to be a classless sore loser. (Yet the GOP patricians - cut from the same cloth as those who chose Scozzafava for the NY 23d district special election last year, preferred him. And Scozzafava - facing a loss to a conservative - went on to endorse the Democrat. What does that say about the GOP elite's choices?)

In the general election, her democrat opponent, Chris Coons, has proudly referred to himself as " . . . A Bearded Marxist." He went to Kenya a while back as a Republican (Hmmm . . . what other politician has Kenyan roots?) but became enamored of socialism & communism while there. Upon returning, he couldn't find a Communist party to join, so he chose the next best thing - the Democratic Party.

If you're from Delaware, these two are your only choices.

Pick one.

I think I agree with you? The current POTUS was elected by the Repubs failure to take care of business when they had the opportunity. Should the Dems lose their majority in November, it will be because they didn't take care of business when they had the opportunity.

I still think it's time for a major Washington housecleaning and elect people who are concerned about the USA and its citizens first. If that's done, their re-election will take care of itself. Term limits, anyone?

I am unable to make for-doggoned-sure unambiguous statements of fact like that, Jester, because I am at a disadvantage here, as I do not know who voted for her. I do know, however, that her win was in the Republican primary, not a general election, and unless it is shown to the contrary to my satisfaction, and not by unproven assumptions, I would think that I am safe in concluding that she was elected by Republicans, not Democrats.

Like I mentioned, it could say more about Castle than it does about her. See for example TAM's and HankB's comments above.
