Back this summer, (July, I think...) I electronically applied for my CHL to be renewed. My current CHL will expire late this December.
I'm a bit confused about this as my current CHL will be valid for some time.
Will I receive it before the current one expires?
Thanks!

Was there any sort of electronic confirmation?
When did you (or have you) taken your renewal class, or is this your third renewal?

KC5AV,
Thanks for responding.
It's my third renewal and yes there was an electronic confirmation according to "she who must be obeyed also known as my wife" (yes, I'm a John Mortimer fan) who I must confess did the necessary P.C. work to make it happen, as I'm less than adequate in this arena... I'm more of a flint ax and bear skin kind of guy.
Would I be correct in assuming they hold the renewed CHL in abeyance and then mail it shortly before the current one expires?
Thanks!

I wouldn't think so...
Why don't you call (or email) DPS and ask about your status. You should also be able to check it online. (Or the "obeyed one" can!
