My New Tex45 Holsters

Post by gwashorn »

Hey, I just got this at my door 15 minutes ago. :woohoo This is just a quick big THANK YOU to RIVERRAT. Our own RiverRat has done it again. I did not know what my new holster would turn out to be until I got it here. I wanted a kid opening up a Christmas present thrill and I got one. :anamatedbanana I LOVE IT! Thanks RiverRat. The pictures are very quick shots from my cell phone so they are not good ones. I am getting ready to head up to the PSC for registration for the TexasCHLForum Day but I wanted to share. My holster, belt and later pouches for cell, mag/knife are TEXAS based. :txflag: And to add a smile he sent my wife a pretty pink one for her P238. :anamatedbanana Trust me these pictures are not even CLOSE to what it really looks like. I will make better ones later and post them. Until then, find me at the PSC forum day and you bet I will be wearing it all weekend. I am one happy gunner. :fire

Thanks RiverRat, I know you are very busy right now and it is so appreciated. Have a good weekend friend and have a beer on me :cheers2: .

RiverRat,

I got stopped a lot yesterday by people admiring my new holster. And I used it all in the classes and the Dag Gum Texas Star. The sweat shield really made it nice to wear and reholstering was a breeze because of it. It worked great and the draw was very nice. I used one of the 45acp mag pouches you sent with my 9mm but worked great. Only thing I have to do is break it all in. New leather... gotta be made to fit the wearer. But yes, got a lot of very nice compliments on it. I showed it to Charles and we had a nice talk about them. Hope you are going well with all you are doing.

I've been packing up the garage (shop) today. Looks like it'll be the first of the year (honestly) before I can concentrate on the art and crank up at any level of output on the leather again. I'm on a 2 week count down now to closing on both places and clearing out and moving in. Will have to get moved and then build a shop of some kind.

Sure wish I could have gotten down there for the Forum Day. It sure would be nice to put a face on some of these folks. Hopefully, next year.

Well, be careful packing, lifting and hauling. Get rest too. Boy, I still owe you a knife template too so that is good I have time to send it to you as well for the new knife/magazine pouch. Best of luck on the moving and all. Will wait for the new stuff when you get started back up. And will see you at the next Forum day which is coming soon!

He does some fine work. I said when I first saw his tooling that he could compete w/ the long time pros & he has proved it.
I like his design too. One of them would sure look good wrapped around a 1911.

My total order with RiverRat is for a couple of holsters. this first one was for my XD. Next is my 1911 and all working with the belt, mag/knife pouches and cell phone. Very nice work and well made. I actually owe him a template for a knife, so that is my bad. But once he gets settled I will look forward to more surprise boxes.
