Thanks - That's a good link AndyC.

It must be broken, because no matter what state licenses I select I can't seem to make California and New York turn blue. :???:

I find it odd that Texas doesn't recognize Minnesota's CHL but Minnesota recognizes Texas' CHL, unless I read it wrong. As far as I can tell, that is the only state that Texas doesn't recognize that does recognize Texas. Any other state that Texas doesn't recognize also doesn't recognize Texas. Abbott needs to get on the ball!

Actually, Texas has made 11 unilateral proclamations.

California (PDF) (11-18-2005)

Hawaii (PDF) (01-13-2006)

Iowa (PDF) (04-14-2005)
Unilateral Proclamation

Maryland (PDF) (11-18-2005)
Unilateral Proclamation

Massachusetts (PDF) (11-18-2005)
Unilateral Proclamation

Nevada (PDF) (03-24-2005)
Unilateral Proclamation

New Jersey (PDF) (11-18-2005)
Unilateral Proclamation

New York (PDF) (01-13-2006)
Unilateral Proclamation

Rhode Island (PDF) (01-13-2006)

Washington (PDF) (11-18-2005)

It appears that during Dan Morales' tenure, only four reciprocal agreements of 29 were created. John Cornyn followed, but Greg Abbott is responsible for almost all of the rest.

Interesting how the different states think. Nevada is odd as I believe it allows OC. And whats up with Iowa siding with liberal Illinois.

If you were planning a trip to Alaska, how would you get your handgun there? First you have the West Coast red state barrier (red on the CHL map) then you have the very put you in jail, Canada.

I think all the maps need to show that the liberal peace loving Mexico is anti gun.

I sort of wish that it was required by law that when a news story is written about the latest horror for the day shooting in Mexico, they have to write a disclaimer "All rifles, shotguns and pistols or handguns are outlawed in Mexico, therefore only outlaws have guns".

My sincere sympathy to the honest people of Mexico and the terrible situation they are in.

Funny/ironic that so many of those 11 states don't issue CHLs to their residents (for all intents and purposes).
I'll quit carrying a gun when they make murder and armed robbery illegal

Handgunlaw.us is an excellent site.

They seem to keep their site current and provide the relevant links to statutes and things for the states they have info for.

Oh, and for the CA, WI, IL, and NY links, well you don't get accurate information for those states unless your a member of the communist party or don't have a brain present in your cranium. :anamatedbanana
Just remember shot placement is much more important with what you shoot than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Exactly, which is why it's strange, to me, that this one state accepts ours while we don't accept theirs. We need to add them and make it 12. Actually Abbott has done a great job, I was being sarcastic...
