Came across this on Drudge.

A Poll worker was fired for not allowing an on duty State Police Officer to vote while armed.

And there is a poll regarding voting while armed.

91% are for voting while armed

11,000 plus votes cast.

Now that's a landslide!

IIRC, Indiana still virtually closes down on election day - at least the fun stuff does. We seminarians had to remember to stock up on Monday, as there were no alcohol sales on Sunday, nor on election day. And you couldn't watch the returns in that redneck state without an adult beverage (or several)!

New Mexico allows no alcohol sales on voting day during voting hours.

I can't tell you how many times that law saved me from voting for the wrong guy during the 30 years I lived there!

This is true for civilian CHL holders in Texas. The incident reported by the OP was in Maine, the armed voter is a LEO and he was not carrying concealed. Which raises the question for me...cannot a LEO in Texas also vote while carrying openly and in uniform?
