Your article from Oct. 22, contained a link to vote on plate design. There are no longer plates at that link to vote on.

However, just finished an instant chat with a MyPlates rep that indicated the DON'T TREAD ON ME plates could be on sale by January, if not sooner.

Nice plate, but there is something slightly jarring about labeling what is essentially a government tax stamp for your car as "Tea Party." :confused5

Thank you for pointing this out; I was going to post the same thing, but you beat me to it.

While it's too soon to know where the money will go, $22 of the $30 fee for all of the charity plates goes to a specific charity.

My last plates state, "From the $30 specialty plate fee, $22 goes to the Texas Department of State Health Services to make grants to eligible organizations that sterilize animals owned by the general public at minimal or no cost."

I don't deserve any credit for that. I bought those based solely on design and dropped them when they changed the plate.

The point is, the majority of the extra fee goes to various good causes.

Geez... now I have ANOTHER plate to choose from for my next truck..

I was already Torn between Radio Operator and TSRA.. now you put this in there as well.... aargh.
The solution for that, was the wife said she wanted TSRA Plates for her car, so I can get the HAM Plates for the truck

So I HAD it covered... but now they go and do this, and I have to choose again :smilelol5:

Received this update today on the Texas Gadsden plates:
I told you that I would let you know about any updates on the Don't Tread On Me plates. They were approved by the state and we are just awaiting to hear about the release date.

If you register your interest at http://www.myplates.com/register/GadsdenFlag" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, you will receive updates through your email.

Have a wonderful evening and hope to speak with you again!
