Utah CHL

Post by tqu9047 »

Just got an e-mail from NETTP (Tea Party) inviting me to join them to get a Utah CHL. I told them thanks, but no thanks. They want to take this course because it is cheaper and shorter. Four hours and no range time. I for one, do not like the idea of people walking around with a concealed handgun may have never handled a gun.
That's my $ .02

Why in the world would the Northeast Tarrant Tea Party be pushing the Utah CFP??

I don't know. Doesn't make too much sense. Has anyone else received the e-mail? I marked the e-mail as spam so I doubt my computer will accept any more e-mails from juliemccarty3.

Maybe they believe they're Taxed Enough Already and would rather pay a $65 tax instead of a $140 tax on the Second Amendment.

I have a Texas CHL and A Utah CFP. Mainly because at one time it took a long time for processing the Texas CHL and I didn't want the right to carry to expire. I do beleive the Texas Chl is a priority... but just saying.

I don't think it is the government's business to set training times and training requirements so that we can exercise our basic human right to self defense.

Don't get me wrong, I think responsible gun owners should take responsibility for their own knowledge and training. But I am sick of the nanny-state telling us what we can and cannot do.

Everyone seems to get worked up about Utah, but it is simply the marketplace at work. Cheaper and simpler usually gains market share.

I am with original poster, live in TX, get TX' CHL. Period.

Or do you like to tell the TEA party to get a Mexico Driving license?

maybe we will get lucky and live long enough to see the day when we are able to exercise our 2A rights without the need of a license at all "rlol"

until then, I see no problem with adding to the total number of CHL's issued nationwide...no matter what state
