I was thinking, scary I know....I was thinking that it'd be cool to make my own kydex bodies for the MTAC.
Has anyone tried this or know of anyone who has given it a shot?
Also, where can you find kydex in Dallas or what types of places can you look for it at?

Sites/shops for hobbyist knifemakers often sell Kydex sheets.
A quick Google search shows this plastic distributor in Dallas but I don't know if they do walk-in.

A sheet of kydex, heat gun, and some fiberglass foam I think it is....that should be all you need
Press it to shape, cut it out, sand it down. Drill a few holes.
It's pretty easy if you have a shop and a decent amount of tools. If you don't have anything it's probably pretty expensive. Then again you could consider space and tools to be an investment if you like doing a lot of DIY.
