I'm looking for a good CHL location in DFW for Jan 15th

Can someone give me a recommendation for a good CHL class? There are many to pick from and I'm looking for one that was interesting and can keep your attention over a 10 hour period. Thanks....

I've always had good luck with DFW Gun on Mockingbird in Dallas. They have classrooms and the range on site, they'll rent you a gun if you don't bring your own. That's not to slight any of the folks on the board here who are instructors. I'm sure they will pipe up with some other options.

This is a great one:

Sgt. McGuire is a great teacher and the all Police Officer team on the range keeps everything safe. They also provide guns at no charge (he had Glocks I believe) if you do not have one. On top of all that, not that you are there to be entertained, but Sgt. McGuire does have a great personality (and award winning good looks if you ask him).

Mike is a great guy, keeps your attention and has everyone interact, not to mention probably the best fees in town. His fees are so low it's almost like he is on a mission to get as to make sure everyone in the area that's qualified gets their CHL :clapping: . Check it out.

Our moderator Crossfire owns Crossfire Training: http://www.crossfire-training.com. My wife got her CHL from them, and I've sat in on the class. Very well done. Classes are held at Cabela's, and at the Roanoke recreational center. It looks like they're having a class at Cabelas on Jan 15.

If you want cheap and don't mind driving a bit, the City of Terrell police department runs a monthly chl class for just $50. The January class happens to be on the 15th. I took it there and enjoyed it.

Mike is the man. Great instructor. Kept it interesting throughout the class, which was my main concern before going. Mike will also loan you a SA for the range part if you need one. There were a few that took advantage of this in my class.

A guy I work with took the class there Saturday. He enjoyed it and got a lot out of it.

Greybeard at Denton County Sports, he does a great job and it is not death by Powerpoint as most instructors like to do. My wife and I took ours there and he gets thumbs up for making it very interesting and the time fly's by. He also does photo's, prints and the shooting test on site so you leave only needing your check and a stamp to send the application in.
