Of my collection, consider my favorite three rifles - Vz58 with iron sights, AR15 with 1-4x scope and BUIS, LR308 with 16x scope and BUIS. I would probably consider each rifle to fulfil a somewhat different role - Vz58 short distance upto 100yds (eg home defense), AR15 upto 300yds (home defense and gun-games) and the LR308 beyond 300yds (range fun. Oh hang on, that applies to all three

OK - onto the question - given that set of rifles, would you sight them all in seperately; the Vz at, say, 50yds; AR15 at 100 or 200yds; LR308 at further than that; and if so, how on earth do you keep track of where each one is sighted at - OR - just sight them all in at the same distance (say, 100yds) just for consistancy ?
If you sight in at different distances, do you write the distance on the stock or receiver or something so you can keep track ? Otherwise how on earth do you know where each one is going to shoot, especially if you swap between rifles, say, if you used one rifle for one gun-game (eg 3-gun) and another for something else (eg precision rifle) ?
Second question - do you sight in the BUIS to match where you sighted in the scope, or again, sight in all the BUIS for the same distance ?
Thanks ! SDS
