The wait begins

Hi everyone. I've been lurking around for awhile now and this is my first post. Been talking about getting my CHL for over a year now along with some of my co-workers and a few friends and finaly I got tired of the talking and decided to find and instructor and set a date for a class. So I got a group of 8 of us together and we took the course Saturday. Online application was done on the 9th, got finger prints done the 15th, class on the 20th, and photos today. Packet will be sent off tomorrow and the wait will be on. Right now my first choice of carry will probably be my Glock 22. But I think getting this is a great excuse to get a new handgun.

AND THE WAIT IS OVER!!!! Got off work today and my plastic was waiting in the mail box. Website still says

"Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page."

Was mailed on 11/22 they received it 11/24 and I recieved plastic 12/13. Had a meeting to go to tonight so haven't made a wally walk yet. Did go to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner with it on though.

Congrats. A buddy and I both mailed our pure paper apps on the 22nd, he got his acknowledgement from DPS on Saturday, but I still haven't received my ack yet. Online does nothing for either of us.

Shows that we should have used the electronic app, lol. Oh well. Enjoy the wally walk.
