My daughter Dawn, delivered a strapping 8 pound 9 ounce 21.5 inch son today. I'm on my way to Fort Hood tomorrow to meet him - - - dad is a Sargent in the artillery stationed at Fort Hood.

OK - Dad is in artillery, and grandkids will need a .22 and shooting lessons before too long... so why is this post in the Off-Topic section?

Congratulations on the new shooter-to-be in the family! :thumbs2:

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
