I hate being in debt and no more 0% loan with 4% fees. Creditor wants to use you in anyway possible. Have you seen how much credit card rates are? how about 23-30% for someone who has 750+ rating?HotLeadSolutions wrote:I opened up my mailbox and......PLASTIC! this is a very very good thing. Credit card rates are ZERO PERCENT if you pay your bills on time.Beiruty wrote:I hate being in debt and no more 0% loan with 4% fees. Creditor wants to use you in anyway possible. Beware! Read the fine print, Barbi. I always pay my name brand credit card off in full each month. I am what the credit card industry calls a "free loader." I was quite surprised to find a debit of $1.50 on my last bill, captioned "minimum interest charge." Like so many others I do not bother reading the fine print they regularly send me explaining their rules.Barbi Q wrote:Credit card rates are ZERO PERCENT if you pay your bills on time.Beiruty wrote:I hate being in debt and no more 0% loan with 4% fees. Congratulations on the CHL.HotLeadSolutions wrote:Sorry for the confusion...I was referring to my CHL. I call it my American Express Card because...I never leave home without it...
You beat me to it. Remember the CC companies are not out to lose money, and the new rules say they can't (yeah, sure) pump the retailers as badly as they did before (hopefully that will soon show up in store prices). Higher yearly fees, 30% interest (and they do figure out ways for you to "miss" the payment deadline). Check out the text of the committee investigations. Credit cards are as expensive as ever, maybe more than ever, and that's cash that could have been used elsewhere.b322da wrote:Beware! Read the fine print, Barbi. While this is a miniscule fee, in comparison with the interest I am not charged on a month's free use of their money, it was aggravating, but not enough to take the time to write a useless letter complaining.
