Searching for CHL instruction, Waco area.

Can someone recommend a CHL instructor in the Waco area? Would prefer female instructor for female instruction. Possibly will require beginning firearm instruction.

I took my class from Coy Jones in Hewitt. It was a 1 day, 8 to 6 on a Saturday class, with lunch provided.

There were several women in the class with me (though I'm not female...), and he did do some "aside" teaching before the firearms proficiency test for a couple people who asked. Coy was a good instructor, I'll take his class for renewal in a few years whenever it's time...

Could also give Alice and Scott Williams of Chandler's Gun Shop and Shooting Ranges a call.

They are in Valley Mills, TX. A short little drive up Hwy 6.

Both fine choices. Also Parnell McNamara and Charlotte Kosub teaching out of the Bosqueville Community Center.Look up McNamara in the local phone book. Full service like most instructors are these days and they have semi auto pistols available for those who are not so equipped.

Thanks to all. My youngest daughter has decided to get her CHL. I am sure we will use one those recommended. One of her friends had mentioned the group in Valley Mills.

McNamara/Kosub were teaching out of valley mills but Parnell built the community center in Bosqueville and is now using that and the range at his house a few miles out rock creek road.
