I'm wondering if having a CCW from another State will speed up your processing time?
I've had my Utah for several years now, and finally sent in my CHL packet on the 21st. I'm just curious if any other members have any experience with similar circumstances.
Will having a CCW already speed up process time?

may not matter, as long as the requirements are met and no disqualifications, then you are good to go.

No, when they do the background checks it's done as if it's a completely new check. Doesn't matter if you have a license from another state, or a top secret clearance, there has been no evidence that it makes it go any faster. I suspect that the local checks could take the most time because it's my understanding that they actually have a DPS employee within your county and each county you've lived in do a check at the county level. Back when I got mine, the county you lived in made a huge difference in processing time because of this.
Fortunately for you, processing time seems to be pretty fast right now. When I got mine, 100+ days was the norm.
