Received Plastic, but website still says Under Review?

The Postal Date Stamp on the envelope my plastic came in was 12/2/2010. I copied this picture today 12/20/2010.
So, it appears that the website is slow to update.

Reminds me of about 35 years ago, trying to get my first credit card, applied EVERYWHERE.
Got a Foley's card in the mail, ran to the mall bought a double barrel shotgun and a TV at Foley's on the card .... next day I get a letter ... "We are sorry we can't approve you for a credit card at Foley's"

I laughed.

They never asked for the card back, I paid on time, kept using it, had it up until Macy's bought Foley's 30 years later, everyone was happy.

I kept checking the site & seeing the Fingerprints & Background Check Under Review, but never made it down to the last line to see it in yellow until now. Last week was really busy, so a few times I grabbed my mail & left it in the seat of my truck. One night at work, I was looking in my truck & found the envelope from TX DPS. I wasn't expecting anything, so I was worried at first. After I opened it, I was shocked to see my CHL inside.

And in reply to the test results comment...
The next morning, I did my Wally Walk with my Beretta M9 in a Fobus OWB holster under my black uniform shirt & black 5.11 undershirt in Wal-Mart & the in-store McDonald's for breakfast. I wouldn't be surprised if I was printing, but I have a feeling that most people were distracted by the all black uniform with big white SECURITY patches, & if they did notice a bulge on my hip, they probably figured that security officers should be carrying a firearm. There is also some kind of law/rule/whatever that says that a Level 3 Security Officer is permitted to Open Carry while in uniform if they are in route to or from their job. I still need to find out more details about that before actually doing it.

Ha. That's funny. They had sent me a letter from DPS saying my picture was too dark and needed me to retake it. So I had went to Walgreens, took the pic and sent it off that day. Two days pass by and I received my plastic. I was confused as heck. Noticed my old picture was on it and boy did it look ugly and dark. The other one I sent was much better. I also smiled more on my second one, too. :D

Either way, I didn't bother responding back to DPS nor did they send me a letter saying to discard the plastic. I checked the website and everything checked out fine. Weird.

I'm not expecting much of the website. It's been all over this forum that the website has been having problems for a while. I'd rather be expecting my card in 3-6 weeks with no hope of an accurate status on the website than expecting my card in 3-6 months (like a year ago) with an accurate status on the website. I did the app online 12/2, took the class 12/4, mailed my chl100 and prints 12/6, and know that they received it all on 12/8. For me the website still says

You are not eligible for any services at this time. This may be due to an application in progress. If you think this is an error, please contact customer service.

I have had that happen w/ a few students. They would aske me to check & it would look about like yours & it would arrive in the days mail.

Hilarious, I got my card today, and the website says the same thing it's always said.

Email I got from Austin yesterday said the system was still down. Ironically the tech support people always told me that they were just for support of the site and not the application. Turn out that when your site doesn't work at all...

It's been a couple days, & now when I put in my info it leads me to this page, so I think it is updated.
